Hand-made F5 Mandolin with detailed birds of paradise design abalone and mother of pearl inlay. Lovely dark sunburst finish. Solid Canadian spruce sound board with abalone and mother of pearl purfling. Solid, hand-carved air-dried maple back and sides with superb bird of paradise design inlay. Sraight, air-dried maple neck. Rosewood fingerboard and headboard with detailed inlay. Dark rosewood pickguard with abalone and mother of pearl inlay. Ebony bridge with adjustable buffalo bone saddle. Buffalo bone nut. Carved ebony tuner knobs. Black lockable hard case with plush interior. Originally from Antoniotsai's Guitar and Mandolin Arts. Antoniotsai has workshops in Taiwan, Vietnam and Canada. |
"This new beautifully inlaid F5-style mandolin was designed by Antoniotsai. It was hand inlaid with several hundred pieces of abalone and mother-of-pearl by a renowned luthier on Tony's workshop team. Antoniotsai is an internationally-renknowned Taiwanese inlay artist and luthier. He is also a master repairman and restore of museum pieces. This mandolin has a beautifully bright, sweet sound with plenty of volume.
This instrument is hand made of solid woods No plywood is used in its construction and only the finest materials were used in its construction. No compromises were made, no corners were cut. We strive to make every instrument's voice loud, clear, and distinctive. This can only happen with solid wood instruments.Please be aware that solid wood instrument are highly sensitive to changes in humidity, temperature and to any sort of trauma (impact). They should be placed in their case anytime they are not being played."

Originally from Antoniotsai Guitar and Mandolin Arts in Vietnam. Received in excellent condition. Required fret dressing, bridge fitting to sound board, setup for intonation and minor nut and bridge saddle filing. No other work needed. Fretwork excellent on this instument. Inital testing and setup by Tim O'Dea at Tim O'Dea Guitars in Corindi on contract to MandoHarp. Tested okay to offer for sale. Tested and setup by Dane Clarke at the workshops of MandoHarp Australia in Nambucca Heads. |
