The sound of the Classic N Superlona sttings is clear and brilliant. All strings are easy in handling and have an extremely long life span. Heavy duty nylon strings, with a choice of two styles of basses (E, A, D): either silver plated copper roundwound (CR127), or chrome steel flatwound (CF127). Classic N strings are easy to play, and represent an excellent value in a student or practice string." |

Thomastik-Infeld wound strings are made up of a number of layers. According to the desired sound and handling characteristics, we then choose a surface material (material of the outermost layer). Next we select the type and number of layers and the material for the inner layers. We decide between round wire and flat strips and determine how many strips and wires are wound in parallel, i.e. simultaneously. Proviso: mass per length. |
